I heard someone say this today.
I think I don’t agree.
We are asked to show up, go out on a limb, be willing, die.
That request doesn’t come with the assurance, or even the hope, of winning.
I think if we’re doing this life thing right, we’ll be ok with losing.
This is why I like baseball. Baseball is about failing, and dealing with it. The World Series champion always has lost 1/3 of their games. A great batting average is .300. That means that you fail 7 out of every 10 times you try. You fail over and over, and you have to pick yourself back up the next day and try again.
A lot like life.
